Get to know DIJAS Natural Foods

Our company first started as a Mom and Pop shop called Irene’s Bakery, run by a Jewish immigrant couple, Irene and Anatole from St. Petersburg, Russia. From the northeast of Philadelphia, they serviced local delis and bagel shops, but this, unfortunately, prevented many customers from across the country to be able to enjoy delicious homemade tasting treats! In 2003, the company was bought by a young and enthusiastic couple who saw beyond just a local reach. With strong leadership, boundless energy, and admirable dedication to the business, they were able to make Irene’s Bakery into an all-natural food manufacturer, supplying companies like Whole Foods Market, Wegmans, and Shop Rite across the country, and local stores such as Acme and Giant. With strong values and dedication, Irene’s Bakery has built relationships with grocers nationwide, ensuring that its products are never too far out of your reach.

In 2012, the need for reliable distribution had emerged and the owner, Daniel Zelikovich, decided to launch a distribution division of the business, DIJAS Foods. This allowed our own homemade products to be carefully self-distributed and also paved the road to bring great partners aboard who also offer fantastic and high-quality products, and allow delivery to a greater distribution area. 

Today, we are Dijas Natural Foods! We continue to offer a large variety of bakery desserts, gluten-free, vegan, all-natural, and other gourmet foods tailored to even the most strict customers’ dietary cravings. Soon to come you will find a greater offering of foods like dinner and snack foods. We hope you enjoy our wide selection of all-natural offerings, from our family to yours.
